This exercise can help slow starters to feel how to mobilize their hips and not only to push like they would do in a lunch squat or a box-jump. It might look far to slow to establish a good transfer, the fact that you are going up and the weight is pulling you down makes it slow. But if you get it right, you instandly feel how easy it is to pull a lot of weight with you, and that is the feel you should be looking for.
